A Note from the Principal

Good morning, Trojan families! It feels so good to have our students back in the building with us! We had one of the smoothest first days of school ever on Thursday, and I know that this year is going to be incredible! As we settle in, please be sure you are aware of our cell phone policy and our dress code. Talk to your student about them and make sure they understand they will be held accountable to following those policies. Check out all of the updates in the newsletter below! This week, especially take note of an opportunity to give us feedback on our orientation. The link is below! We want that event to serve YOU and YOUR needs - so let us know how to improve for next year!

Principal's Shout Out

This week, I'd like to recognize Ms. Jessica Rose, a Business CTE teacher in our Business Leadership Academy. This summer she poured hours of volunteer work into our school, helping to prepare for the 2026-27 school year, including helping us to re-envision our Back to School Orientation Event to be Academy-based. She has been an incredible thought partner, and her help has been invaluable. Thank you, Ms. Rose, for LEADing Like a Trojan this summer, and every day!

Orientation Feedback

PARENTS and GUARDIANS: August 4, 2026 was the first time Southern HS has hosted Orientation in an Academy-based way instead of just by upperclassmen and freshmen. As this event is for YOU, we want your feedback on how it went and how we can make it better for next year. Please take a moment to give us your feedback here.
