Dear Kennedy Elementary Families,
Last week, I shared a piece of my personal story—how my mother’s experience as a refugee shaped my deep passion for advocating for every child's right to a strong, high-quality education. That belief continues to drive everything I do as your principal, and it centers on a simple truth: our students deserve nothing less than our very best.
To ensure every child reaches their full potential, we maintain high expectations for both academic growth and daily behavior. We are working hard in our classrooms every day to foster a focused, engaging learning environment where every student is challenged and supported.
To make this vision a reality, I am asking for your partnership. Recently, we have seen incidents of fighting both at school and on our buses. Physical conflicts compromise the safety and well-being of our school community, and we need your help to address this. Please take time this week to talk with your child about conflict resolution, using their words, and seeking help from an adult when feelings run high.
My goal is for all of us—school staff, families, and community members—to work together to ensure Kennedy is a place where every single child feels safe, valued, and empowered to grow both academically and socially.
