Wow! What an amazing first 2 days!
This week, my newsletter is very short. Starting next week, it will have more details, information and pictures! I just wanted to tell all of the Falcon Families that we are so excited to have this upcoming year with your students. I believe that overall these first 2 days were a success!
The teachers have worked hard in the weeks leading up to the opening days to make sure rooms were clean and decorated in a welcoming manner that promotes learning. They developed strong systems to keep the room safe and provide an environment that students want to be in.
This week, we are going to resume our regular car rider procedure in the morning. There will not be a tent to stop cars. Additionally, the line closes at 7:20. If you arrive after 7:20, please park and come in the front door. This is due to needing to make sure the building is secure and announcements can begin prior to the instructional day.
As many know there is a new communication law in effect for teachers and students. If you have a family member or friend that works in JCPS and you give permission for your child to text or call them personally, please fill out the NEW form in the JCPS parent place. One form per individual you give permission to. As parents of elementary students, this may not apply to many of you. However, I want you to know it is there.
Every weekend, families will receive a newsletter from me celebrating the great things going on and pertinent information. I encourage everyone to read it when it comes out.
