Happy Spring, Trojan Family! The spring weather really showed up this weekend! We only have 8 short weeks left in the school year - 2 before spring break and 6 after. Check in with your students and ensure they are staying up on their assignments and grades. Let us know how to help.

This week, I'd like to recognize Ms. Adelinde Thompson, our YSC Clerk, for all she does! Having only been in this country for a short time, Mrs. Thompson has flawlessly adapted to our Southern High family since her start in October of this year.  She came in with her priority being to build relationships with students and staff, and she has more than conquered that goal. Students flock to her in the Youth Services Center with requests for support and sometimes just for a confiding shoulder.  Our staff and community partners have adapted to her nicely as she has built confidence in knowing she will handle any task that comes her way, and follow up with response as to how a situation was handled.  She has quickly become the backbone to the Youth Services Center and continues to serve as a valued role model to empower our students and families.  We are very grateful to have Mrs. Thompson at Southern High School! Thanks for LEADing Like a Trojan!

Whether students are still exploring their options or are ready to enter the workforce immediately, After the Tassel helps turn graduation into a launchpad—leading to full-time jobs with starting pay of $15–$24+ per hour.
