Good morning, Southern Families! I want to give a shout out to our Juniors, who had the highest attendance of all grade levels last Tuesday for the SAT! Thank you for showing up and for doing your best! I also want to celebrate the inaugural season of our new Boys' Volleyball team, who won their first set of games last Tuesday evening. Spring break is right around the corner, so be sure to stay in tune with your student's grades, as we will only have 6 weeks left after Spring Break.

This week, I would like to recognize Ms. Hannah Hicks and Mr. Marc Gartner, two of our Senior English teachers. Ms. Hicks and Mr. Gartner are implementing intentional academic dialogue strategies with students to synthesize their learning during class. Recently, they had groups writing and asking their own questions of their peers in groups to wrap up a unit, and I had the chance to catch them in action. Our students are so smart, and it was a joy to hear the learning from their perspective. Thank you Ms. Hicks and Mr. Gartner for your dedication to student success and for LEADing Like Trojans!

Whether students are still exploring their options or are ready to enter the workforce immediately, After the Tassel helps turn graduation into a launchpad—leading to full-time jobs with starting pay of $15–$24+ per hour.
