This week I’d like to recognize Ms. Jessica Rose, a CTE teacher in our Business Leadership Academy. She is dedicated to her students, and is always building in opportunities for them to have real world experiences that prepare them for careers and success. She celebrates those successes along the way too, with positive referrals! She’s referred 25 students to be celebrated already this year for their achievements, and that’s the kind of referral every student wants! Thanks for your positive approach, Ms. Rose, and for LEADing like a Trojan every day! |

Spring 2026 SAT Junior State Administration |
|
|
All juniors across the state of Kentucky will take the SAT instead of the ACT this school year. Change often brings both challenge and opportunity, and the transition to the new SAT is no exception. Check out all of the resources linked below for more information on the SAT!
For Families
College Board has many resources online to explain the benefits of SAT to educators and families. College Board has curated these flyers to share with schools for distribution and posting, if desired.
*SAT: More than a Score – for Students and Families
For Students
The SAT has shorter reading passages, with only one question per passage. This allows for more efficient reading and comprehension, as students can focus on a single passage at a time, and the test can cover a wide range of topics and skills, including literature, history, science and the humanities. Passages and questions are designed to test comprehension, analysis and reasoning skills. The following resources are available:
*Video: Shorter Reading Passages FTW
*Website: Why Take the SAT?
Understanding the New SAT: “More from One Score” With a redesigned test comes an updated score report for students and families to explore. To help everyone better understand and navigate these changes, the College Board has released several helpful resources.
*SAT: Understanding Scores for Students and Families This resource will help us learn about how the SAT works to prepare students for college and career. Explore sample student score reports, including detailed information about each section of the test, how to use the scores for colleges, universities, or scholarship programs and much more.
*Informational video on Multistage Adaptive Testing (MST) This short video explains how MST works and helps families understand what makes the new SAT format unique.
