Message from Dr. Terry

šŸ« Principal’s Message – Welcome to Week One!

Dear Families,

Welcome to the first full week of school! It’s been a joy to see our students settling into their routines, building connections, and embracing the excitement of a new year. I hope your child has had a positive and engaging start to the school year.

As we move forward, I want to share a few important reminders to help ensure a smooth experience for everyone:

šŸ”¹ Emergency Contact Form
You should have received a link to submit your emergency contact information. This form is essential for student safety and access. If you would like someone other than a parent/guardian—such as a grandparent or older sibling—to be able to eat lunch with your child or pick them up from school, they must be listed on this contact form. Please click here if you have not already filled out the form.

šŸ”¹ Transportation Change Form
If your child’s transportation plans change—whether for a single day or permanently—we ask that you complete the Transportation Change Form. You can find this form linked here in the newsletter or on our school’s website. This helps us ensure every student gets home safely and efficiently.

Please take a moment to review the information below, and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. We’re here to support you and your child every step of the way.

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead!

Car Rider and Walker Dismissal Expectations

To ensure a safe and efficient dismissal process, please follow these important guidelines:

  • Stay in your vehicle at all times during pickup.

  • Pull all the way forward and fill in the space in front of you. Do not stop where you think your child will board.

  • Students will always load from the passenger side of the vehicle.

  • Keep your car tag visible. You cannot pick up your child without a car tag.

  • If students repeatedly do not follow car rider expectations, they will be sent to the office for pickup.

Walker Reminder

  • K families, please bring your yellow card and wait by the flagpole for dismissal.

  • Unless you have been given specific permission for hand-to-hand dismissal, you must remain on the flagpole sidewalk.

  • For safety and traffic flow, we cannot allow families to crowd near the doors.

Thank you for helping us keep dismissal safe and orderly for all students!

If you're planning a last-minute change to your student's pick-up arrangements, this is the best way to do it. While sending a note to the teacher is helpful, this link is the official method for making transportation changes.
