Dear Families,
It is hard to believe we are less than six weeks away from the last day of school on May 22. The remainder of the year will be both exciting and very busy as we work to finish strong and celebrate our students’ growth and accomplishments.
During the week of April 20–24, we have several important events planned. Our school will host a Mental Health Fair on April 23, led by our mental health practitioner, Ms. Davis. This will be a great opportunity to support student well-being and provide helpful resources for families. On April 20, our 5th grade students will participate in a field trip to Topgolf. We will also celebrate our first-ever Student Appreciation Week from April 27–30, where we will recognize and honor our students. Please note that there will be no school on Friday, May 1.
As we move into May, students in grades 3–5 will take the Kentucky Summative Assessments (KSA) between May 4–15. Students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade will participate in Spring MAP testing during this same window. These assessments are important opportunities for students to demonstrate their learning and growth.
We are also excited to host a Pre-K Family Fun Day on April 23. Toward the end of the year, we will celebrate two important milestones:
Kindergarten Promotion Ceremony – May 21 at 10:30 AM
5th Grade Promotion Ceremony – May 22 at 10:30 AM
As always, your partnership is critical during this busy season. Please continue to reinforce the importance of daily attendance, strong academic effort, and positive behavior. Encouraging your child to stay focused, motivated, and to demonstrate great character will help them finish the year successfully.
Additionally, please ensure that all school materials, including Chromebooks and chargers, are accounted for as we prepare for end-of-year collection. More information will be shared soon regarding these procedures.
Thank you for your continued support of our school. Let’s work together to make these final weeks meaningful, productive, and celebratory for all of our students.
