Message from Principal Smith

Dear Farnsley Families,

As we wrap up Week 7, we are excited about the opportunities ahead to connect with you and continue working together for the success of your students.

We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences on September 24, where you can discuss your child’s progress and goals for the remainder of the semester. Mark your calendars also for our Fall Festival on October 16, a fun event for the whole family, and our Showcase of Schools on October 25, where you can learn more about the programs and resources JCPS schools offer. This event is especially important for our 8th grade students as they look towards the high school application period, starting in November.

A quick reminder that the grading period ends on October 15, and report cards will go home with students on October 24. We encourage you to stay up to date on your child’s progress by checking their grades regularly in Infinite Campus.

Lastly, we want to emphasize the importance of attendance. Consistent school attendance is crucial to your child’s success, so please ensure that they are present and engaged every day. This means that they are present from 8:40AM-3:20PM each and every day. Together, we can help them reach their full potential.

Thank you for your continued support! We are looking forward to seeing you at these upcoming events.

Warm regards,
Carolyn B Smith
Principal, Farnsley Middle School
