Message from Principal Smith

Dear Farnsley Families,

We’ve made it to Week 6 of the school year, and it’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through the first grading period! The grading period officially ends on October 15, and report cards will be sent home with students on October 24. Now is the time to check your Parent Portal!

As we focus on academic progress, I want to remind and encourage all families to sign up for a Parent-Teacher Conference on September 24. These meetings are a great opportunity to discuss your child’s strengths, challenges, and how we can work together to support their success. Your involvement makes a tremendous difference!

Also, don’t forget to mark your calendars for our Farnsley Fall Festival on October 16! It will be a fun evening full of activities for the whole family—we’d love to see you there.

Thank you for staying engaged and supporting your student’s education. Let’s keep the momentum going strong!

Warm regards,
Carolyn B Smith
Principal, Farnsley Middle School

Message from the Counselors

Dear Farnsley Families,

This is a friendly reminder that, under Kentucky law, school officials must communicate with students only through approved and regulated channels. This means that staff are not permitted to use personal phone numbers, social media, or other non-regulated methods when reaching out to students.

We ask that you please remind your student to use their school email, Infinite Campus, or other district-approved platforms when contacting teachers and staff. This ensures that all communication remains secure, appropriate, and in line with state guidelines.

Thank you for your partnership in helping us maintain safe and professional communication practices.

Explore Spotlight

This week in Explore we are spotlighting our 8th grade Business Classes with Mr. Gregory and Mr. Riley. 8th grade Business students are currently working through their Food Truck project, creating a business plan, menu, and budget for a potential food truck. Students listened to Adan Garcia from Garcia's Tacos talk about how he started his business and what it takes to make it profitable. Special thanks to Adan for visiting his former middle school and imparting his food truck knowledge on our 8th grade students.
