Message from Principal Smith

Dear Farnsley Families,

I hope you are all having a wonderful week. Thank you so much to the families who joined us for our 7th Grade Milestone Exhibition of Learning. Our students did an outstanding job showcasing their projects, sharing their growth, and demonstrating the skills they’ve been working hard to develop this semester. We are incredibly proud of their effort, creativity, and confidence. Your presence and support truly made the event special for our students.

We are already looking forward to continuing this tradition next week with our 6th Grade Exhibition of Learning. We can’t wait to see the learning, problem-solving, and collaboration our 6th graders will share with you. More details are below and we hope to see another great turnout.

Speaking of turnout—our Winter Dance was a huge success! Thank you to our families for helping students meet expectations and come ready to enjoy the event. We had a fantastic crowd, and our students represented Farnsley beautifully.

As a reminder, NTI expectations remain the same throughout the winter season. All NTI work must be completed and submitted within 24 hours of returning to the building. This helps students stay on track and ensures teachers can provide timely feedback. We appreciate your support in reinforcing this expectation at home.

Thank you again for your partnership and for all you do to support our students. We have many exciting learning opportunities ahead, and we’re grateful to share them with you.

Warm regards,
Carolyn B. Smith
Principal

Farnsley Short Term NTI Plan

Students were given hard copies of NTI work today (November 24, 2025) to bring home. These should be kept in a safe place at home, in case the district designates an NTI day.  Notice of the district using an NTI day will be communicated via the local news, Thrillshare, school email communication.  More often, advanced notices are based on the current conditions of our weather or community.  Please be mindful of that and follow accordingly.  Digital copies of the work received will also be posted on teacher's Google Classrooms the day of NTI, and will also be accessible through the button on the Farnsley.us homepage. More information can be found using the link below.  Teachers will be accessible via email during the school day based on the schedule outlined.

24-25 KSA Scores

The 2024–2025 KSA score reports will be arriving at your home this week. These reports are mailed directly by JCPS Testing and provide valuable information about your child’s performance on the Kentucky Summative Assessment.

We encourage you to review the results with your child and use the information as an opportunity to celebrate their strengths and discuss areas for continued growth. Your support and encouragement play an important role in helping them stay focused and work hard in their classes throughout the year.

If you have any questions about interpreting the report or would like additional support, please feel free to contact us.
